Cavalier Archaique
Bernardino Topi is an Italian artist. Influenced by the Lascaux cave paintings in France and his childhood in the Roman countryside, he employs the historical textures of frescoes, diluted, pale colors, and a blurred sense of time and space to convey a fantastical and imaginative atmosphere reminiscent of dreams, fairy tales, or historical legends.
Toby has won important awards such as the Gold Medal of the French Artists Salon, the Taylor Prize, and the French National Laureate Award for Fine Arts. His works have been auctioned many times and are also collected by art institutions such as the Paris Municipal Museum of Fine Arts and the Petit Palais in Geneva.
